The Dadamard are often considered cousins to the Taurac, in mind if not in body. Consummate diplomats, they have made themselves a neutral centre for negotiation and discussion amongst all races for a hundred years. Rarely engaging in direct, overt warfare, they live by the adage that it is the pen that is mightier, not the sword. Physically, they resemble large bipedal rodents around 6' tall and their own language consists of a series of squeaks and whistles, known only to themselves.

Despite this, they nevertheless they have a natural talent for languages, and most of their peoples speak at least a dozen. As such, they can often by found working as translators in the various embassies around the world.
Relations between the Dadamard and the Nardlor have been strained for the last nine years, after the execution of a Dadamard diplomat by the Nardlor King on the charge of spying.
On good terms with the Rikaffin, with whom the Dadamard have long enjoyed a profitable trading relationship.
In Dadamardian, Escisland translates as "Land of Mountains". An apt name given its rugged nature. The tallest peaks are covered in snow all year round, and it has only one major city: Mauruck. Located in the lowlands in the west, it houses embassies of all the major races of the world.
Borders Matteland to the east, and the Yaran sea to the north, west and south.
